Dr. Caroline Betancourt first joined the CPS team as a Clinical Psychology Intern in September of 2017, and is currently completing her postdoctoral residency. Dr. Betancourt pursued her undergraduate degree at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with Minors in Spanish and Sociology. A South Florida native, Caroline continued her education at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, earning a Master of Science and a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.).
Throughout her graduate training, Caroline’s research and clinical experience focused on the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with various developmental disorders and learning challenges. Although she has experience providing therapy to children and families, her expertise lies in conducting comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for the assessment of giftedness, specific learning disabilities and differences, social-emotional functioning, and ADHD and behavioral difficulties. She truly enjoys working with children and their families, and is a passionate advocate for the fulfillment of children’s appropriate learning needs.
